San Diego, CA – This week, the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) endorsed Andrew Hayes for State Assembly District 75 for his strong stance on border security and support for law enforcement.
“We are proud to endorse Andrew Hayes for Assembly,” said National Border Patrol Council Vice President Hector Garza. “Andrew has demonstrated a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the men and women of the NBPC. His commitment to securing our border and ensuring the safety and security of American families aligns directly with the values of the NBPC.”
The National Border Patrol Council is the exclusive representative of approximately 17,000 Border Patrol Agents and support personnel assigned to the U.S. Border Patrol. They promote immigration laws and policies that contribute to the security of the United States and oppose policies that restrict the sworn duties of Border Patrol agents.
In response to the endorsement, Andrew Hayes expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council. I’m running for State Assembly to secure our border and protect San Diego County residents. I am committed to working tirelessly to support the brave men and women of the Border Patrol.”
On the heels of standing with local leaders in El Cajon to demand federal action on the border, Hayes recently joined Congressman Darrell Issa on the U.S.-Mexico Border to see the border-crisis first hand.
“We need the federal government to step up, close the border, and support the border patrol agents who need their assistance,” Hayes said regarding the crisis at our southern border.
Congressman Issa stated, “I know how important one vote can be, which is why I voted for Andrew Hayes for Assembly. The 18,000 Agents of the National Border Patrol Council officially endorse Andrew Hayes for Assembly too.”
Issa continued, “[The Border Patrol] opposes Carl DeMaio because of his support for sanctuary city policies.”
