Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation Partners with San Diego County Assessor’s Office to Share the Love with Free Valentine’s Day Weddings

The Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with the San Diego County Assessor’s Office to spread love and joy this Valentine’s Day through free weddings for deserving couples.
On February 14th, 2024, the Larry Himmel Foundation will cover the costs for the first 20 weddings at the County Administration Center. This initiative includes payment for marriage licenses and associated fees. The ceremonies will commence promptly at 7:30 am.”My dad loved Valentine’s Day and always looked for ways to spread joy on this special day, expressed Miles Himmel, Founder of the Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation. “In keeping with my dad’s spirit, we want to continue the tradition by helping couples tie the knot.”

The Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation is collaborating closely with San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk Jordan Marks, who oversees Civil Marriages in his esteemed role. Marks, reflecting on the legacy of the late Larry Himmel, a beloved figure renowned for his compassion and humor, highlighted the significance of continuing his tradition of spreading love.

“Nearly two decades ago, Larry Himmel himself officiated a wedding at the County building on Valentine’s Day,” remarked Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk Jordan Marks. “In honoring his memory, I am thrilled to partner with the Larry Himmel Neighborhood Foundation to extend this tradition and offer 20 couples the opportunity to create cherished memories on their special day.”
