Navy Talent Acquisition Group Southwest to Hold Change of Command

SAN DIEGO – Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Southwest will hold a change of command ceremony aboard the USS Midway Museum ship flight deck on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2021, at 10 am.  Cmdr. Keith J. Bushey, from Speigletown, New York, will be relieved by Cmdr. Elizabeth E. McMullen, from Lynn, Massachusetts, as NTAG Southwest’s commanding officer.

Under Bushey’s leadership NTAG Southwest recruited 7,897 Future Sailors which directly supported the fleet’s manning requirements and ensured that the Navy has the highest quality Sailors in order to project American influence where it is needed the most.

“What the Sailors and civilians of NTAG Southwest achieved in the most challenging recruiting environment in our nation’s history is nothing short of remarkable.  They were as committed to personal and professional development as they were to achieving recruiting excellence,” said Bushey.  “It was an absolute honor to lead Navy Recruiting Command’s Flagship NTAG and I am certain that we achieved our mission of manning the Fleet”.

Bushey’s follow on assignment will be Reserve Talent Acquisition Group Southwest, where he will serve as it’s first ever Commanding Officer.

For those not able to attend, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the NTAG Southwest Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ntagsw/live/.
