SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher (Yuba City) issued the following statement on the announcement by Assemblyman Devon Mathis (R-Porterville) that he will retire from the California State Assembly at the end of his current term.

Throughout his time in the Assembly, Devon has been a tireless advocate for his constituents and a valued member of our caucus. He has worked hard to bring common sense solutions to the challenges facing our state, and has been a strong voice for veterans, Californians with disabilities, farmers and more.
