Levin’s Silence on Tlaib’s Remarks Raises Questions

Representative Mike Levin is facing criticism for his silence following controversial comments made by fellow Democrat, Representative Rashida Tlaib. Tlaib’s statements, criticized for echoing Hamas talking points and allegations of genocide, have not been publicly addressed by Levin, leading to growing concerns about the Democratic Party’s stance on such rhetoric.

Tlaib’s unsubstantiated claims have drawn widespread criticism, yet a public response from prominent Democrats, including Levin, has been notably absent. This silence is prompting questions about the party’s approach to addressing controversial and extremist statements within its ranks.

For San Diegans and the wider public, the lack of a clear, public stance from Democratic leaders like Levin on this issue is becoming a point of contention. The Democratic Party faces a growing need to address this silence and clarify its position on antisemitic and extremist rhetoric to align with its stated values of tolerance and respect.

They Know Better

Today, apparent Hamas spokeswoman Rashida Tlaib continued to spread Hamas talking points despite them being repeatedly disproven.

“We continue to watch people say it’s okay to bomb a hospital…We are literally watching people commit genocide and killing a vast majority just like this.”

“Mike Levin still has not condemned antisemite Rashida Tlaib for parroting terrorist talking points. Levin needs to answer once and for all: why won’t he remove her from the Democrat caucus?” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
