Washington – Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48), Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet, will hold a hearing tomorrow, September 27, at 10 a.m. ET.
The hearing will examine the U.S. Copyright Office’s (USCO) operations and the status of programs and reforms enacted in previous sessions of Congress. The hearing will also explore the USCO’s ongoing efforts in artificial intelligence, music copyrights, and the right to repair.
U.S. Copyright Office Director Shira Perlmutter is the sole witness of the hearing.

Darrell Issa is the Representative of California’s 48th Congressional District. The District encompasses the central and eastern parts of San Diego County and a portion of Riverside County, including the communities of Fallbrook, Valley Center, Ramona, Escondido, Santee, Lakeside, Poway, Temecula, Murrieta, and the mountain and desert areas of the San Diego-Imperial County line. Issa served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2011-2015.
