WHY:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>San Diego County, is ranked among the 15 worst human trafficking hotspots in the United States by the FBI.\u00a0A 2016 study conducted by the University of San Diego and Point Loma Nazarene University, estimated that sex trafficking generates more than $810 million annually for San Diego\u2019s underground economy with up to 8,000 victims per year and an average age of victims of 16 years old.<\/p>\n
