This is the first time we\u2019ve collected over a billion dollars in a single day, and it speaks not only to San Diego\u2019s growth as a region, but also to our responsible taxpayers stepping up and paying what they owe,\u201d said McAllister. \u201cOverall, we\u2019ve collected $7,852,056,242.04 in property tax payments so far. This money is essential to San Diego and goes to funding public schools, first responders and other essential services.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taxpayers across San Diego County owed\u00a0nearly\u00a0$8.06\u00a0billion in 2022-2023 property taxes. So far, 98.83% of first installments have been paid, and 96%\u00a0of second installments paid. Payment reminder notices will be sent in May, and it is projected that the County will successfully collect 99% of property taxes owed by June 30.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also at a record high is the San Diego County\u2019s Investment Pool, which reached a high of $17.2 billion in assets. The Investment Pool is a local government money fund which ranges in size from\u00a0$10.2 &#8211; $17.2 billion in assets on an annual basis.
