A group of Veteran PTSD Treatment Advocates is demanding Nathan Fletcher’s immediate resignation from the San Diego Board of Supervisors. The call comes after allegations of sexual harassment, failure to prevent sexual harassment and retaliation, sexual assault and battery, and whistleblower retaliation were leveled against Fletcher and his wife Lorena Gonzalez.<\/p>\n

Fletcher had announced he would enter rehab to treat PTSD and alcohol issues just 48 hours before the lawsuit became public. The Veterans PTSD Advocates group is set to hold a press conference to demand Fletcher’s resignation, criticizing his use of PTSD treatment as a political stunt to divert attention from the serious allegations made against him.<\/p>\n

The advocates argue that Fletcher’s behavior undermines the serious work that PTSD advocates are doing for veterans. They believe his use of PTSD to try to win sympathy and create some absurd justification for his misconduct is reprehensible and irresponsible.<\/p>\n

Veteran and Sexual Assault Survivors, Kate Monroe and Helen Horvath, will lead Monday’s press conference. The advocates want Nathan Fletcher to apologize and immediately resign from public office for his behavior. They argue that his actions are offensive and show a lack of accountability for his actions.<\/p>\n
