San Diego, CA – Businesswoman Kristie Bruce-Lane announced her candidacy today for California State Assembly District 76.<\/p>\n

“I grew up in California and benefited from the opportunities that our state provided. But now Sacramento politicians’ high taxes and growing cost of living, homelessness, increased crime and our failing schools\u00a0are driving Californians to leave our state in record numbers,”\u00a0said Bruce-Lane.\u00a0“This Assembly seat will be\u00a0open\u00a0which gives us an even greater opportunity for success. It\u00a0is the strongest pick-up seat in California.\u00a0I have received\u00a0unwavering support and endorsements from top elected officials including Congressman Darrell Issa, Senate Republican Leader Brian Jones and Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher and\u00a0many other elected officials and leaders in our\u00a0community. I am poised to win and I look forward to going to work in Sacramento for our hard working families.”<\/p>\n

Raised in an agricultural family, Bruce-Lane worked multiple jobs to put herself through college, developing the work ethic that drove her success in the private sector. Following a successful career in\u00a0agriculture and healthcare, Bruce-Lane was elected to serve as a Director for Olivenhain Municipal Water Board.<\/p>\n

Active in her community, Kristie serves as a the CEO of The Thumbprint Project Foundation, Continuum\u00a0of Care Member for the Regional Task Force on the Homeless, Board Member Homeless Services Sub-Committee Salvation Army, Board Member President’s Council Palomar Health and\u00a0Board Member San Diego Council on Literacy.<\/p>\n

Kristie resides in 4S Ranch with her husband and\u00a0son.
\nThe 76th Assembly district encompasses a large portion of\u00a0northern San Diego County including San Marcos, Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch,\u00a0Carmel Valley, Rancho Penasquitos and unincorporated Vista.<\/p>\n
