In recognition of this milestone, the Carlsbad Chamber is excited to announce Centennial Celebrations taking place throughout this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Historically, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce stayed small for only a couple of years before exploding. Since the Chamber preceded the official incorporation of the City of Carlsbad by almost 30 years \u2013 and county government was 35 miles away in San Diego \u2013 the Carlsbad Chamber quickly became the voice of the community. The early success of the Carlsbad Chamber grew from the inspired leadership and strong leadership continues to guide the Carlsbad Chamber to this day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carlsbad Chamber President and CEO, Bret Schanzenbach highlights, \u201cTo celebrate our 100-year heritage we have three specific events planned: A birthday party on February 8 to thank our members and leaders; a community block party on August 18 to thank the community; and a red-carpet gala on October 13 to raise money for our foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe birthday party will recognize current and former staff, members, leaders, and dignitaries as we ring in our 100th year. The block party will be hosted in association with the City of Carlsbad\u2019s summer finale of TGIF Concerts In The Park. The Gala will benefit the Carlsbad Chamber Community Foundation with silent and live auction, entertainment, dancing, and surprises.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adam Jacobs, Founder of Jacobs Scheriff Group and 2023 Carlsbad Chamber Chair of the Board, stated, \u201cAs a local small business owner and operator, I know the challenges and rewards that come along with building something unique, whether it be a brick and mortar, virtual, or otherwise. At the Carlsbad Chamber, we continue to strive to reach our goals of being a regional economic catalyst, leadership convener, and community champion.
