Since losing the Republican majority in San Diego County, we San Diego Republicans have adopted a somewhat defeatist attitude especially when it comes to our Republican Congressional candidates.\u00a0 Oh, we go through the motions.\u00a0 We attend fundraisers and rallies and even walk precincts, but behind the scenes, we quietly concede that San Diego\u2019s going Blue and there\u2019s darned little we can do about it except, perhaps, in the East County.\u00a0 Shame on us.<\/span><\/p>\n It’s now 2022, and the Biden Administration has shown us exactly how quickly deep blue Progressivism* can tear apart our country\u2026 and how little American citizens like it.\u00a0 For the first time in ages, polling consistently shows Republicans ahead on all major issues except abortion and even ahead in the Congressional generic poll.\u00a0 It is fully expected that the Republicans will shortly take back the House.<\/span><\/p>\n Why should we San Diegans not expect to take back our own Congressional Delegation?\u00a0 We have good candidates in Tyler Geffeney, Corey Gustafson, Darrell Issa, and Brian Maryott.\u00a0 We\u2019d be foolish in today\u2019s environment not to give each of them our full-hearted and optimistic support, and none more so than Corey Gustafson.<\/span><\/p>\n Corey is a man who can win.<\/span><\/p>\n College teacher and businessman (he makes a tasty beer), Corey has the rare ability to speak clearly on virtually every issue while also listening to the concerns of his hoped-to-be constituents.\u00a0 His particular issues \u2013 what he calls his \u201cOn Your Side Agenda\u201d \u2013 should resonate with most of us.\u00a0 More importantly, these should appeal to the San Diego electorate:<\/span><\/p>\n This is an agenda most of us can get behind.\u00a0 This is a candidate we should support with our words, our money, and our optimistic volunteerism.\u00a0 Talk to your friends, family, and\/or neighbors living in the new 50th Congressional District extending from the Coronado Strand to San Marcos with various cut-outs along the coast.\u00a0 While you\u2019re at it, remind them, too, that the current Representative (and Corey\u2019s opponent) has voted in favor of all of Biden\u2019s initiatives including the original Build Back Better fiasco and the unrestricted to the moment of birth abortion laws.\u00a0 Peters, who pretends to be a moderate, is in fact one of the most reliable votes for the Progressive agenda.\u00a0 Corey instead would vote to stop it cold.<\/span><\/p>\n If we\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n Promote Corey.<\/b><\/p>\n Vote Corey.<\/b><\/p>\n Corey Will Win.<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n *A social justice\/woke construct that most closely resembles 20<\/span>th<\/span> century fascism.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Written and submitted by Mary Anne Since losing the Republican majority in San Diego County, we San Diego Republicans have adopted a somewhat defeatist attitude especially when it comes to our Republican Congressional candidates.\u00a0 Oh, we go through the motions.\u00a0 We attend fundraisers and rallies and even walk precincts, but behind the scenes, we quietly…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":8953,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-8950","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-opinion","category-politics"],"yoast_head":"\n\n
