On Thursday, March 3rd, Republican candidate for San Diego Sheriff John Hemmerling will be hosting his campaign kick-off party. The event will be held at The Knotty Barrel in Downtown San Diego at 844 Market Street, San Diego CA 92101 at 5:30 pm. Joining John will be former San Diego City Council candidate Joe Leventhal, President and CEO of City Wide Group Tom Tamar, and former San Diego Police Chief Shelly Zimmerman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

John Hemmerling has been committed to public safety and keeping communities safe for over 30 years. John served in the San Diego Police Department and served in the Marine Corps where he was deployed to Iraq and rose to the rank of Colonel, where he commanded a battalion of 800 Marines. John currently serves as the lead criminal prosecutor at the San Diego City Attorney\u2019s Office, overseeing eight divisions with over 200 staff members. John Hemmerling will bring great leadership skills to the Sheriff\u2019s Office. Whether it was as a police officer, a Marine, or a prosecutor, John has always been committed to making communities safer and will be ready on day one to make San Diego County safer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
