On Sunday, Sen. Rand Paul and Sen. Ted Cruz criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci for accusing his critics of being \u201canti-science\u201d. Just because Cruz and Paul are able to justifiably call out Fauci over his lies and pursuit to control people in America, Fauci\u2019s defense was that those who criticize him are \u201canti-science\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

This previous month, Sen. Cruz had even called on Attorney General Garland to appoint a prosecutor to investigate Dr. Fauci after claiming that the NIH did not fund research. On Sunday, Fauci responded to this with, \u201cI should be prosecuted? What happened on January 6th, Senator?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Cruz fired back on Twitter stating<\/a>, \u201can unelected technocrat who has distorted science and facts in order to exercise authoritarian control over millions of Americans.\u201d He continued to write in a twitter thread, \u201cOn May 11, Fauci testifies before a Senate Committee that \u2018the NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology,\u201d but that \u201con October 20, NIH wrote they funded an experiment at the Wuhan lab testing of \u2018spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse module.\u2019 That is gain of function research.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a contradiction here, in which either the NIH is telling the truth or Dr. Fauci, but when have we known for Fauci to ever tell us the truth, when he has been soaring through lies?<\/span><\/p>\n

Fauci also claimed on Sunday that there is \u201ca distinct anti-science flavor to this,\u201d and he even continued to say, \u201cso it\u2019s easy to criticize…but they\u2019re really criticizing science, because I represent science. That\u2019s dangerous.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Sen. Rand Paul responded to this on Twitter by writing,<\/a> \u201cthe absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science,\u201d and continued, \u201cIt\u2019s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity.\u201d Paul and Fauci have consistently argued with each other over COVID policies and gain-of-function research.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
