According to the annual ranking released by PropertyShark on Tuesday<\/a>,\u00a0 the zip codes containing Rancho Santa Fe, Coronado, and Del Mar rank in the top 100 most expensive zip codes in the United States.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The zip codes were ranked based on residential property sales between the start of the year to October 22nd.<\/span><\/p>\n

The zip code 92067 (Rancho Santa Fe) had a median transaction value of $3.4 million, placing it in the top 20 in the country. Coronado\u2019s zip code, 92118, came in at $1.94 million, and Del Mar\u2019s zip code, 92014, came in at $1.85 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

California had the highest number of zip codes, with 89 in the top 100, including 21 in Los Angeles County and 47 in the San Francisco Bay area.<\/span><\/p>\n

New York was behind California, with 17 zip codes, a very distant second. Florida ranked with only a single zip code in the top 100, and Texas had none. With this data, it is no secret why so many people from California and New York are leaving for Texas and Florida.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the report, PropertyShark wrote, \u201cCalifornia continued to provide the bulk of the country\u2019s most expensive zip codes: The Golden State originated 70% of all of the zip codes on this list, including six of the top 10 priciest,\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor the fifth year in a row, San Francisco had the highest concentration of expensive zip codes of any city, ranking seven among the top 10. It was followed by Los Angeles and NYC, with six zips each.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

PropertyShark said many ties were in the top 100, so the data is based on 127 zip codes.<\/span><\/p>\n
