Governor Gavin Newsom loses yet another top government official as Marybel Batjer resigns as the California Public Utilities Commission president. Batjer\u2019s announcement comes as ten other important figures left the Newsom administration as living conditions here in California continue to slump and stagger. It\u2019s unclear why she resigned, but the answer might lie with PG&E.
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company has 122 criminal charges on its hands, is responsible for the Zogg and Dixie fires, and wants to increase electric bills by 5%. But, unfortunately, the CPUC also has blood on its hands. ABC 10 investigated both PG&E and the commission and found that Batjer had a significant part in \u201cthe Newsom administration\u2019s complex plan to help PG&E avoid the financial consequences of past and future wildfires.\u201d Not only that but the California Public Utilities Commission also is responsible for last year\u2019s rolling blackouts here in California and escaped responsibility unscathed.
It\u2019s genuinely unique how Democrats used COVID fear to keep small businesses closed while subsequently bailing out large corporations who do their evil bidding. Then, they cheer themselves on for \u201cstanding up for the little guy\u201d when he\u2019s squished under their tyrannical heel.
The real culprit in all of this nonsense is Newsom\u2019s incompetence. Maybe if he stepped up and offered solutions to the many crises our state faces (homelessness, affordable housing, zoning laws, wildfires, CRT, and radical leftist takeovers), he wouldn\u2019t have so many vacancies on his hands. Eventually, California will wake up to this madness and finally vote the dictator out.<\/p>\r\n
