While Biden and Kamala continuously fail to fix the mess they created at the border, the U.S. Supreme Court went on clean-up duty to correct their blunders.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court of the United States had refused to block the attempts made by the Biden administration to end Trump\u2019s \u201cRemain in Mexico\u201d policy after a lower-court ruling claimed that the government is required to reinstate the policy.
This policy, made by the Trump administration in 2019, requires asylum seekers to remain on the southern side of the U.S.-Mexican border while awaiting their hearings in U.S. courtrooms to determine their status and eligibility.
The Department of Homeland Security has since released a statement where they disagree with the ruling. \u201cThe Department of Homeland Security respectfully disagrees with the district court\u2019s decision and regrets that the Supreme Court declined to issue a stay,\u201d read the statement. It also mentioned that the DHS has appealed the ruling and will continue to challenge it. \u201cAs the appeal process continues, however, DHS will comply with the order in good faith.\u201d
Last week, a federal judge in Texas had already ordered that the policy be reinstated. He and the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused the request to put the order on hold, which unsurprisingly came from the Biden administration.
To further add, the states of Missouri and Texas have both sued the Biden administration by stating that ending the \u201cRemain in Mexico\u201d policy was illegal in the way it happened and put the border cities and states at risk and in danger.
Last month, Missouri AG Eric Schmitt commented on Fox News, \u201cwe are hopeful for a favorable ruling because it is clear that the Biden administration didn\u2019t consider anything relevant to how it was working or notice and comment, and obviously we have a crisis at the border now.\u201d<\/p>\r\n
