The President of the United States of America has officially begun his first summit with the President of the Russian Federation in Geneva, Switzerland. During the summit, the two Presidents are due to discuss a variety of topics from climate change to covid to the threat posed by nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n
In order to remember all of this, of course, President Biden is aided by his trusty flash cards. The summit is intended to help bolster relations between the United States and Russia, as they have been strained in recent months. Before President Biden took pre-screened questions from pre-selected reporters, he made a statement outlining the fact that no real progress has been made with the Russians, but they have identified the areas in which the United States and Russia can work together.<\/p>\n
During the Trump Administration\u2019s first bilateral meeting with the Russian President, the pair seemed to have very warm and cordial relations, ending the summit with a joint press conference. This time, Presidents Biden and Putin opted for separate press conferences to discuss what, if anything was actually achieved by the Biden Administration.<\/p>\n
