{"id":5866,"date":"2021-04-20T10:00:29","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T17:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sandiegonewsdesk.com\/?p=5866"},"modified":"2021-04-21T09:47:17","modified_gmt":"2021-04-21T16:47:17","slug":"university-of-san-diego-to-require-covid-19-vaccines-for-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sandiegonewsdesk.com\/?p=5866","title":{"rendered":"University of San Diego to Require COVID-19 Vaccines for Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Written by <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Juan Sebastian Fragozo\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students enrolled for the fall 2021 semester at the University of San Diego will have to present proof of vaccination against Covid-19 in order to take in-person classes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not only does this decision undoubtedly infringe on the freedom of students to chose what they put in their bodies, but the university is mandating a vaccine that has not yet been fully approved by The United States Food and Drug Administration. The Covid-19 vaccines currently available are only authorized for emergency use, meaning they are essentially experimental.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Covid-19 vaccine rollout throughout the United States has been strong thanks to former President Trump&#8217;s Operation Warp Speed, but there are still things to take into account with regards to the process and how fast everything has been. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It normally takes years to develop vaccines and get the FDA&#8217;s approval. This because it takes time to see the full effectiveness and effects of a vaccine.
