Sorrento Therapeutics and Mount Sinai are two San Diego-based companies that are currently\u00a0<\/span>creating stronger antibodies to fight against all variants of the Coronavirus. The undergoing clinical trials are working on the further development of monoclonal antibodies for therapeutic applications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Henry Ji, Chairman and CEO of Sorrento Therapeutics, has the hope that their antibodies will fight against all known strains of the virus including the South African strain, UK strain, and the Jaan\/Brazil strain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Clinical trials for the treatment are currently being conducted by Sorrento and the antibodies can be administered in two different ways. One way is through drops in the nose and the second is through an IV, which is a process that takes less than 3 minutes. According to Henry Ji, you would be able to pick up the drops at CVS and they will prevent the virus from replicating any further.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n These antibodies that are currently being created happen to be more potent, meaning that more doses can be developed. This will allow an average person in San Diego to access protection against the virus more easily, which is much needed due to Gov.
