Citizens around the country are eager to go back to their normal lives as fast as possible, and thanks to President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, we have the vaccines to start the immunization of people. <\/span><\/p>\n Some of our citizens serve as primary caregivers for members of their families with disabilities, and according to guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, they are considered healthcare workers and as such should be vaccinated. Unfortunately, even though the caregivers receive letters to that effect, stating they can receive a vaccine, vaccination sites are turning them away.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Many caregivers turned to social media to express their frustration and disappointment. As primary caregivers of their family members with disabilities such as autism and down syndrome, they need to be able to be vaccinated for the safety of their family members. <\/span><\/p>\n Each city has a different approach, and the lack of unification is a huge problem when the guidelines from the top do not trickle down to the vaccination sites. <\/span><\/p>\n
