This time with millions of potentially leaked driver registration records.<\/p>\n<p>Since the middle of 2019, the DMV has been working with Seattle-based Automatic Funds Transfer Services, \u201cto correct and verify vehicle registration addresses.\u201d Unfortunately, the Seattle-based company was hit by a series of attacks in early February.<\/p>\n<p>KFSN in Fresno reported, \u201cthat the affected data includes 20 months\u2019 worth of California vehicle registration records-including names, addresses, license plate numbers and vehicle identification numbers-dating back to at least August 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anita Gore, a spokeswoman for the DMV, said \u201cApproximately 38 million records have potentially been compromised.&#8221; The DMV has stopped sharing information with Automatic Funds Transfer and is currently investigating if any of the information obtained has been used.
