Within the last week, gas prices have gone up 11 cents; the largest increase since March 6, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;According to Oil Price Information Service, fuel demand on the West Coast is 20% lower than a year ago and gas stations have seen their traffic and revenue reduced, giving them more incentive to raise gas prices and keep them at higher levels,&#8221; said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California&#8217;s corporate communications manager.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to GasBuddy, the national average for the price of gas has risen 19 cents, going up to $2.44 per gallon. California has the highest average rate in the country at $3.40 per gallon<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This is thanks to the state&#8217;s extreme gas tax that has been pushed by Gov. Newsom and other state democrats.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And it gets worse.
