A company in Tianjin, a city in Eastern China, has reported to have produced a batch of ice cream with traces of the coronavirus. According to the Chinese government, the entire batch, 29,000 cartons, is being recalled, with <\/span>4,800<\/span><\/a> of them expected to be contaminated with the virus. There is no manifestation of anyone contracting the virus from the ice cream as of now.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company in question, Daqiaodo Food Co., is a local food company in Tianjin that was sealed and had its employees tested regularly for COVID-19, according to a city government statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the 29,000 cartons in the batch, 390 of them were sold in Tianjin. Ingredients of the ice cream included milk powder from New Zealand and whey powder from Ukraine, although it is unknown if those were the causes for the presence of the virus.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
