A search and rescue mission is underway on the USS Theodore Roosevelt after reports came in about a sailor who may have gone overboard on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The sailor was also unaccounted for during a command-wide role call, the navy confirmed.<\/p>\n
The rescue efforts began at around 7:30 Thursday morning after a lookout spotted what they believed to be a person in the water.<\/p>\n
It has been reported that 3 search and rescue helicopters and a Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat were launched to assist in the search. The Navy also said that the search will continue through Thursday.<\/p>\n
No further information about the search has been released at this time.<\/p>\n
