SACRAMENTO\u00a0–<\/strong> The California Chamber of Commerce (CalChamber) recently recognized\u00a0Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove<\/a>\u00a0(R-Bakersfield<\/em>) and members of the Senate Republican Caucus for their support of California’s job creators outlined in CalChamber’s 2020 Vote Record. Leader Grove and the Republican Caucus earned high marks from the non-profit organization which represents more than 14,000 businesses in California. Senate Republican Leader Grove released the following statement:<\/p>\n

“I am proud of the Republican Caucus for standing up for job creators around the state.\u00a0Small businesses in the Golden State are truly the economic engine that\u00a0makes\u00a0California\u00a0the fifth largest economy in the world.\u00a0Californians need support more than ever – millions are unemployed and more than 14,000 businesses are closed permanently.<\/p>\n

“Sacramento Democrats’ radical policies have\u00a0hurt our job creators across the state and\u00a0Senate\u00a0Republicans will continue to advocate for these employers\u00a0and the families who rely on them,” said Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove.<\/p>\n

The CalChamber’s legislative scorecard ranks\u00a0lawmakers on their stances related to the\u00a0businesses and the economy. For the 2020 legislative session, CalChamber highlighted several major bills which are labeled as either a “priority” or a “job killer,” including\u00a0Senate Bill 1383\u00a0which places a significant burden on job creators with five or fewer employees to give time-off and\u00a0Assembly Bill 3216\u00a0that requires new COVID-19 employment leave mandate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
