Michael Allman is the Republican Party of San Diego County’s endorsed candidate running for San Dieguito Union High School District Area 4.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael was a first member of his family to earn a four-year college degree, having studied at Michigan State University. While in school, he worked hard as a field hand, union factory worker, and busboy among many other jobs since he valued his education and eventually received a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Chemical Engineering. From there, he pushed his education further at the University of Chicago, earning an MBA with a specialization in Finance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael and his wife moved to San Diego in 1995, where they raised their two children and have actively participated in the community they cherish so much.<\/span><\/p>\n

As schools within SDUHSD face significant challenges, Allman has outlined three reasons why he is the best candidate to serve the community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He is currently a local CEO and an experienced board member on public and private boards as an Executive Chairman, Chairman of the Board, and Chair of Audit Committees. Overall, his <\/span>lengthy resume<\/span><\/a>\u00a0indicates a lot of qualities that qualify him for this position and are desperately needed on the school board.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through his experience as a Founder, President, and Chairman of numerous successful technology companies, Michael will be instrumental in navigating complex issues surrounding the selection and installation of the technology that schools will be using for distance learning. From this interest in technology comes his commitment to promoting STEM education in our schools. Allman also wants to be a resource on the board for people to rely on to be accountable for budgetary decisions to ensure that funds are being used efficiently and appropriately.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael is an advocate for parents, teachers, and students alike. He believes in transparency, communication, and independence, rather than leaving parents and teachers in the dark while decisions directly affect students. In his efforts to hear from parents and members of the community, Allman has created a\u00a0<\/span>website<\/span><\/a> for those in the district interested in telling him about what issues are affecting their children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I want to hear from you. Better decisions are made when the community has input,” Allman explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael has been endorsed by San Diego Asian Americans for Equality, The New Majority, The Lincoln Club, San Diego County Office of Education Board Members Paulette Donnellon and Mark Powell, County Supervisor Jim Desmond, San Diego City Councilman Chris Cate, San Dieguito Board Trustees Melisse Mossy and Maureen \u201cMo\u201d Muir, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n

On October 13, Democrat candidate Amy Caterina ended her campaign and chose to endorse Michael Allman instead. “Today I am ending my campaign and endorsing Michael Allman for the SDUHSD Board of Trustees,” said Caterina. “The parents and students of our school district need a strong and independent voice on the Board, and Michael has the strength and experience to be that voice.”<\/span><\/p>\n
