Marianne Grosner is the Republican Party of San Diego County’s endorsed candidate for the Del Mar Union School District Board.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has lived in Carmel Valley for over 16 years with her husband and sons, with both sons attending schools in the Del Mar Union School District. Grosner worked for 15 years as a business professional before leaving her career in IT to take care of her youngest son, who has severe autism and is non-verbal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Marianne has personally experienced difficulty with multiple school boards, which ultimately led to her decision to run for the DMUSD Board. She currently serves in the Office of Administrative Hearings Special Education Advisory Committee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her goals are to help fix transparency and poor decision-making within the district. Marianne understands the frustrations of parents having such little influence on the education of their children, so she’s committed to ensuring that parents are more involved in educational decisions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am an advocate who will support your concerns and fight for your children’s rights,” said Grosner. “That includes the right to a better education for special needs students. As someone who truly cares for our community, I will be your most ardent voice.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Marianne also advocates for special needs students and their parents, who want the best education possible for their kids. She is committed to giving parents and their children a voice in the district to influence decisions in their schools which directly impact them, instead of leaving it to a group of politicians.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grosner has been endorsed by former State Senator Joel Anderson, former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio,\u00a0San Dieguito Union High School District Board Member and Vice President Maureen Muir, San Dieguito Union High School District Board Member Melisse Mossy, San Diego Schools Founder and Oceanside Unified School Board candidate\u00a0Todd Maddison, and San Diego Tax Fighters President Richard Rider.<\/span><\/p>\n
