He is running for re-election, looking to build on the progress the city has made in being accountable to its citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goble was born and raised in El Cajon, attended Grossmont College for an associate&#8217;s degree before transferring to San Diego State University to earn his bachelor&#8217;s degree in Business Administration. He began working in business management while working on his MBA at SDSU.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/gobleforcouncil.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures\/steve_goble_for_city_council_el_cajon_california.jpg\" alt=\"About Steve Goble, Candidate for El Cajon City Council 2020\" width=\"272\" height=\"411\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Goble has had a long and successful career working with several companies in management, marketing, and financial planning. T<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hese include his time as the Senior Marketing Analyst of Foodmaker Inc., the parent company of Jack in the Box, and his time as Chief Brand Officer of PostalAnnex+, which expanded from 250 locations to over 820 under his leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through his career and education, he learned skills of collaboration, budgeting, critical thinking, and more, which he put to use with great success during his last term on the El Cajon City Council.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to his rewarding career, Goble has spent a lot of time volunteering in the community, working on projects serving the homeless, seniors, low-income families, and local schools. He is also currently Chairman of the Advisory Board for San Diego State University-College of Business Administration&#8217;s Marketing Department. He and his wife Lindy have two daughters, and as he puts it, &#8220;My faith, family, and friends are things I value most.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His two biggest priorities while on the City Council are public safety and improving quality of life. His work to improve citizen safety and property during his last term was very successful.
