\"\"June Cutter is the Republican Party of San Diego County\u2019s endorsed candidate running for State Assembly in the 77th District, challenging incumbent Democrat Brian Maienschein. She runs to represent the middle class San Diegan without any political pretense or games\u2014something Maienschein surely can’t understand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cutter was born and raised in Los Angeles to Korean immigrant parents. She earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine in 1999 and went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Southern California in 2002. She has since become an accomplished attorney and small business owner, married her husband, who is a former Naval Flight Officer, and started a family with two children.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her community involvement began with the education system, serving as the president of a parent-teacher organization for two years. She has always valued education as a way for anyone to fulfill their American Dream, and seeing the poor state of California\u2019s education system inspired her to start working in politics to make that possible again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Frustration rooted in her everyday experiences in California, such as sitting in traffic on damaged roads, watching the homeless population grow, and an ever-present worry about managing the cost of living also motivated Cutter to take a closer look at the people running our state. Needless to say, she didn\u2019t like what she saw.<\/span><\/p>\n

With countless corrupt politicians in power, she has watched the California government “take more and accomplish less,” with one of the lowest performing school systems in the country, increasing crime and homeless rates, <\/span>and<\/span> our ever-rising taxes. Her goal is to fight against career politicians, like Brian Maienschein, and make use of her real-world experience to make California\u2019s middle class the priority.<\/span><\/p>\n

To do so, she will work to eliminate the regulations that make creating businesses, hiring, construction, and education so difficult and inefficient. She opposes Prop 16, which allows for discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, and gender. Cutter is also an adamant opponent of AB 5, the legislation that pushed millions of freelancers out of work. She also opposes raising taxes and fees, and demands transparent and accountable government spending.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cutter pledges to protect our rights to our personal property and the well-being of our children, supporting our public safety systems and abolishing parts of the law that allow criminals to run free. She also has common sense plans to address homelessness at its root by highlighting the substance abuse and mental health problems that afflict so many.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ultimately, Cutter aims to bring the real world, working class perspective she has to the Assembly and will fight for the everyday Californian\u2014as one herself. She\u2019s a force to be reckoned with in her campaign to take back Assembly District 77 and her promise to be for people, not politics.<\/span><\/p>\n
