Newsom\u2019s latest shutdown order cripples the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey posted in celebration, saying &#8220;we recognize the importance of our local businesses, their team members, and the people they serve so we are committed to doing everything we can, within public health orders, to assist them during this time.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coronado is the latest to follow suit as cities throughout the county move to allow business to conduct their services outdoors. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sandiegonewsdesk.com\/2020\/07\/poway-city-council-approves-mayor-steve-vaus-plan-for-outdoor-spaces-to-be-made-available-to-gyms-and-churches\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poway<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sandiegonewsdesk.com\/2020\/07\/san-diego-mayor-kevin-faulconer-leads-effort-to-allow-local-businesses-to-expand-outdoors\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">City of San Diego<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have passed similar measures in the last few days, led by Mayor Steve Vaus and Mayor Kevin Faulconer, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All existing brick and mortar fitness buildings are eligible to apply for a permit to use the newly available outdoor space,&#8221; Mayor Bailey added. &#8220;All typical commercial use permit fees are waived and approvals will be very timely.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The push to move businesses outdoors is the latest attempt by lawmakers to help struggling small businesses during this extraordinary time. In the wake of Newsom\u2019s latest authoritarian shutdown order, many business owners are losing hope and their financial security is at extreme risk.
