On July 7, congressional candidate Darrell Issa visited the East County Advanced Water Treatment Project in Santee. The proposed project, if fully funded and built to completion, could one day supply up to 30 percent of East Country\u2019s fresh water supply and would also cut water rates for residents in the district.<\/p>\n

After viewing a one hour presentation, Issa toured the project\u2019s working prototype. Upon returning to Congress next year, he is fully committed to securing the necessary federal funding to make sure this project is completed.<\/p>\n

“This week I toured the East County Advanced Water Treatment Project in Santee,” said Issa. “In Congress, I’ll work to support their grant funding request to build the full-scale version of this demonstration project.”<\/p>\n
