Following his win in the primary election back in March, former state senator and current County Supervisor candidate Joel Anderson has continued his campaign success.<\/p>\n
Anderson successfully pushed for the reopening of San Diego lakes and reservoirs, while consistently offering valuable input regarding the navigation of the COVID-19 crisis. His efforts have been reflected in polls, endorsements, and fundraising, with each of these indicators suggesting that Anderson is on his way to victory in November.<\/p>\n
His latest endorsement comes from the Southern California Rental Housing Association (SCRHA), a prominent organization deeply involved in the local housing market.<\/p>\n
“Senator Anderson understands that needless regulations and county bureaucracy are slowing down the approvals for the construction of rental properties that are necessary to meet the needs of San Diegans,” said SCRHA President Kendra Bork. “Joel will light a fire under them.”<\/p>\n
Much of Anderson’s career in the State Legislature focused on reducing burdensome government regulation and oversight, which has been responsible for exacerbating the housing affordability and homelessness crises. The success of Joel Anderson in pushing for reforms at the state level is certainly needed at the county level as well, as San Diego’s growing population creates challenges for housing development. While many candidates and elected officials promise to instill positive change, Anderson is one of the few that can stand on a solid record of doing just that.<\/p>\n
“The bottom line is, San Diego needs more housing, but in the right locations,” said Anderson. “It\u2019s vital that I partner with key organizations whose members represent rental properties.”<\/p>\n
