Given the recent increases in COVID-19 cases and the response at the state and county level, the office has decided to close its doors to the public again, beginning this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Our downtown branch will remain open July 1 and 2, but starting Monday, we will close our public-facing counters as a precautionary measure, based on social distancing recommendations from local officials,&#8221; said Treasurer-Tax Collector McAllister last week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The other four Treasurer-Tax Collector offices, located in in Kearny Mesa, San Marcos, Chula Vista and Santee, have been closed to the public since March and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those who need tax related services while the branches are closed, the following resources are still available:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">taxman@sdcounty.ca.gov<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or call 1-877-829-4732 to get questions answered<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email a request for a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdttc.com\/content\/ttc\/en\/tax-collection\/mobile-home-tax-clearance.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mobile home tax clearance certificate<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdttc.com\/content\/ttc\/en\/tax-collection\/property-tax-refunds.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">claim for an unclaimed property tax refund<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mail in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdttc.com\/content\/ttc\/en\/tax-collection\/transient-occupancy-tax.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TOT reporting form and payment<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drop boxes will be available outside of all TTC branches. Checks will be accepted in drop boxes, while cash will not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s important for San Diegans to understand that these closures are for the sake of public safety and compliance with county health orders.
