Fortunately, local leaders are going above and beyond to support those who need it, while opening up opportunities for everyday citizens to contribute as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brian Maryott and his campaign have teamed up with Solutions for Change in order to help 50 local families in need. The Vista-based nonprofit is a wonderful organization that equips families and veterans with skills, knowledge, and resources to get back on their feet. Together, they hope to assemble 50 care packages for families, but they need our help.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Citizens are encouraged to contribute what they can. They\u2019re accepting items off of the list below, as well as monetary contributions through the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/maryottforcongress.us20.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=686af4664d73cc1289e192e30&amp;id=ff4246d08b&amp;e=54b43be38f\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team Maryott Go Fund Me<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> page, where 100% of donations are going directly to Solutions for Change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Food items:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Any packaged snacks (i.e. chips, trail mix, dried fruit, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Toiletries:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shampoo &#8211; full size bottles (non-travel size)<\/li>\n<li>Conditioner &#8211; full size bottles (non-travel size)<\/li>\n<li>Body Wash &#8211; full size bottles (non-travel size)<\/li>\n<li>Hand Soap &#8211; liquid soap bottles<\/li>\n<li>Hand Sanitizer &#8211; 8 oz bottles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Cleaning Supplies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trash bags &#8211; package<\/li>\n<li>Toilet paper &#8211; pack of 4 rolls<\/li>\n<li>Paper towels &#8211; pack of 2 rolls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Card games<\/li>\n<li>Small board games<\/li>\n<li>Coloring books<\/li>\n<li>Crayons &#8211; pack of 64<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those unable to drop items off at their in-person offices, Maryott\u2019s campaign is offering to come pick up supplies. They hope to obtain all items by <strong>Friday, April 17<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though we may be in the middle of a proverbial raincloud, that\u2019s not to say we can\u2019t find silver linings.
