In the past few weeks, several local Democratic leaders, candidates, and elected officials have tested positive for COVID-19. It is just the latest indication that this virus is a major threat to the San Diego community.<\/p>\n

As the Voice of San Diego<\/em> reported<\/a> last week, Chula Vista Councilman Steve Padilla, San Diego County Democratic Party Chairman\u00a0Will Rodriguez-Kennedy, City Council candidate Kelvin Barrios, and\u00a0San Diego Democrats for Equality member\u00a0Jehoan Espinoza have all confirmed their coronavirus infections. Several others are suspected to have suffered from the virus, but had not been confirmed at the time of publishing.<\/p>\n

While many in the mainstream media and national politics more broadly continue to make a convoluted partisan game out of the pandemic, Republican Party of San Diego County Chairman Tony Krvaric went a very different route in response to the news.<\/p>\n
