The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/116th-congress\/senate-bill\/3548\/text\">Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act<\/a> was passed by the Senate on Wednesday in a unanimous 96-0 vote. The payment amount would decrease for individuals that make over $75,000 and individuals making more than $99,000 would not qualify. The thresholds are doubled for couples.<\/li>\n<li>Student loan payments will be suspended, without penalty, through September 30.<\/li>\n<li>The REAL ID deadline has been delayed.<\/li>\n<li>Unemployment benefits will now provide workers with an extra $600 per week for four months.<\/li>\n<li>$500 billion in lending problems will provide relief to struggling industries.<\/li>\n<li>Hospitals will receive about $117 billion, according to the American Hospital Association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The only notable opposition to the vote today came from Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who took issue with the lack of an official roll call vote.
