Last night Governor Gavin Newsom announced the country’s first shelter in place order, with New York following suit this morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The order went into effect at midnight, and requires the state\u2019s nearly 40 million residents to effectively remain indoors, limiting outdoor movement to only the essentials.<\/span><\/p>\n

This came shortly after he estimated that approximately 56 percent of Californians \u2014 about 22 million people\u00a0\u2014 would become infected by COVID-19 if significant precautions were not taken immediately.<\/span><\/p>\n

CA is issuing a statewide, mandatory STAY AT HOME order.<\/p>\n

Those that work in critical sectors should go to work. Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and more will stay open.<\/p>\n

We need to meet this moment and flatten the curve together.<\/p>\n
