Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez doesn\u2019t have any idea of what the people want. Either that or she simply doesn’t care about what they want.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her disastrous AB 5 has already generated a tsunami of backlash from working-class Californians who have lost their freedom to choose where, when, and for whom to work. Though she might be able to ignore her constituents, she can\u2019t ignore the actions of her fellow legislators, who have brought forth many bills in hopes of repealing her destructive legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In hopes of addressing these concerns, Gonzalez has made an attempt to amend AB 5 to allow a bit more leeway for certain freelancers to remain independent.<\/span><\/p>\n
