(San Diego, CA) –<\/strong>The San Diego Chapter of the California Restaurant Association today announced their endorsement of Joe Leventhal for San Diego City Council District 5.<\/p>\n

The California Restaurant Association is an organization that advocates on behalf of restaurants and provides advanced education, networking, and business-building tools to restaurateurs.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoe Leventhal is a decisive leader who will advocate for the many small businesses and restaurants that are part of our organization. The CRA is confident that Joe Leventhal is the right pick for San Diego City Council, District 5,\u201d said Chris Duggan, Director of Local Government Affairs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud to have the endorsement of the California Restaurant Association, San Diego Chapter and I\u2019m eager to work with the CRA to protect the thousands of good paying jobs that are produced by the restaurant industry in San Diego,\u201d said Leventhal.<\/p>\n

This latest endorsement adds to an ever-growing list of Leventhal\u2019s supporters. Joe has already been endorsed by San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, San Diego District 5 City Councilman Mark Kersey, retired San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman, homeless advocate Father Joe Carroll, San Diego County Board of Education Vice President Mark Powell, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, San Diego City Councilmen Scott Sherman and Chris Cate, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, the San Diego Association of Realtors, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of San Diego, among others.<\/p>\n

Once elected to the San Diego City Council, Joe will prioritize solutions to reduce homelessness, enhance public safety, and expand road repairs. Joe believes that bold, collaborative leadership, as he\u2019s demonstrated throughout his life, is the best way to approach San Diego\u2019s persistent challenges.<\/p>\n

The 5th District includes the communities of Black Mountain Ranch, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Pe\u00f1asquitos, Sabre Springs, San Pasqual, and Torrey Highlands. The District\u2019s registration is nearly evenly split between Republicans, Independents, and Democrats.<\/p>\n
