(San Diego, CA)\u00a0<\/strong>– The California Women\u2019s Leadership Association (CWLA) today announced their endorsement of Joe Leventhal for San Diego City Council District 5.<\/p>\n

For over 25 years, CWLA has been committed to bringing together influential women to effect meaningful change in our communities and government through education and advocacy. \u201cCWLA is proud to endorse Joe Leventhal and we believe his approach to bold, collaborative leadership will represent our values best in the San Diego City Council representing District 5,\u201d said Dena Cruden, Executive Director of CWLA. \u201cAs a leader in business and civic engagement, he has a long record of advocating for women in leadership positions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud to have the endorsement of the California Women\u2019s Leadership Association. I look forward to working with CWLA\u2019s membership to strengthen San Diego\u2019s economy and advocate for the interests of all members of our community,\u201d said Leventhal.<\/p>\n

This latest endorsement adds to an ever-growing list of Leventhal\u2019s supporters. Joe has already been endorsed by San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, San Diego District 5 City Councilman Mark Kersey, retired San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman, homeless advocate Father Joe Carroll, San Diego County Board of Education Vice President Mark Powell, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, San Diego City Councilmen Scott Sherman and Chris Cate, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, the San Diego Association of Realtors, and the Associated Builders and Contractors of San Diego, among others.<\/p>\n

Once elected to the San Diego City Council, Joe will prioritize solutions to reduce homelessness, enhance public safety, and expand road repairs. Joe believes that bold, collaborative leadership, as he\u2019s demonstrated throughout his life, is the best way to approach San Diego\u2019s persistent challenges.<\/p>\n

The 5th District includes the communities of Black Mountain Ranch, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Rancho Pe\u00f1asquitos, Sabre Springs, San Pasqual, and Torrey Highlands. The District\u2019s registration is nearly evenly split between Republicans, Independents, and Democrats.<\/p>\n
