49th<\/sup>\u00a0District Congressional candidate Brian Maryott today launched a six-figure ad buy highlighting Mike Levin\u2019s extreme, far-left record<\/em><\/p>\n

CARLSBAD, Calif. \u2014\u00a0Brian Maryott today launched his\u00a0first TV ad<\/a>\u00a0of the cycle, highlighting freshmen incumbent Mike Levin\u2019s extreme, far-left record in Congress.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe truth is that the 49th Congressional District is still a moderate, Republican leaning district, and our survey research shows that Mike Levin\u2019s extremely partisan record makes him one of the most vulnerable freshmen Democrats in Congress. This ad shows 49th District voters that Mike Levin\u2019s record is far-left to the extreme, and Brian Maryott is the better choice,\u201d said Stephen Puetz, Maryott\u2019s campaign consultant.<\/p>\n

The ad focuses on Levin\u2019s extremely partisan voting record in Congress, noting that he voted with the Democrat majority 99.6% of the time and even voted with self-proclaimed democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on 95% of votes. Ocasio-Cortez endorsed Levin in a\u00a0tweet<\/a>\u00a0last year and applauded him for \u201cproudly calling himself a progressive in a swing district\u201d in a\u00a0recent CNN interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMike Levin\u2019s support of socialist initiatives that would double our taxes, gut military spending, and kick millions of people off of their private health insurance plans are out of touch with the priorities of 49th District voters,\u201d said Brian Maryott. \u201cI\u2019m focused on representing this district with a commonsense approach, prioritizing independent leadership over hyper-partisan policies.\u201d<\/p>\n

California\u2019s 49th District encompasses portions of both northern San Diego County and southern Orange County. The district covers the coastal cities of Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, and Del Mar. The inland portion of the district contains Rancho Santa Fe, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Mission Viejo.<\/p>\n

Maryott is a Certified Financial Planner who spent most of his career helping families save for a rainy day, send their kids to college and retire with dignity. As the Mayor of San Juan Capistrano, he has a proven record of reform and a history of working with people from all walks of life to get results.<\/p>\n
