DeMaio is calling his initiative \u201cCLEAN Streets\u201d which stands for &#8220;<strong>C<\/strong>oordinated <strong>L<\/strong>aw <strong>E<\/strong>nforcement <strong>A<\/strong>ction <strong>N<\/strong>ow\u201d on homeless on the street.<\/p>\n<p>DeMaio blames a \u201cculture of coddling\u201d homeless for the crisis and says law enforcement must be given back powers to force homeless into mental health and substance abuse programs. DeMaio is committing resources to defeat various tax hikes being proposed by politicians that they claim will go to fund programs for the homeless.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCareer politicians are literally throwing good money after bad by funding failure again and again on homelessness,\u201d said DeMaio. \u201cWe cannot tax our way out of this homeless crisis &#8211; we must enforce our way out of it,\u201d DeMaio noted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN<\/strong>: Thursday, Jan 16 &#8211; 10am<br \/>\nDeMaio for Congress HQ<br \/>\n1560 S.
