SACRAMENTO \u2013 Senator Patricia Bates (R-Laguna Niguel) will present her\u00a0Senate Bill 57<\/a>\u00a0on Tuesday that would make voter registration an opt-in process at the DMV, which would prevent some of the problems reported by media outlets over the past two years such as inaccurate party registrations and the registration of non-U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n
