San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer today announced\u00a0his endorsement of June Cutter in the race for the 77<\/span>th<\/sup>\u00a0Assembly District<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

(San Diego, CA) \u2013 San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer today announced his endorsement of June Cutter, the Republican candidate running for California\u2019s 77th<\/sup>\u00a0Assembly District.<\/p>\n

\u201cJune Cutter is a great example of the kind of common-sense Republican we need in our state,\u201d said Mayor Faulconer. \u201cJune will fight for California\u2019s middle class, transparency in government, and reining in out of control spending. I\u2019m confident she will bring a fresh voice and new perspective to the capitol.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Kevin Faulconer was elected mayor in 2014, San Diego became the largest city in the United States with a Republican mayor. Faulconer\u2019s agenda of fiscal responsibility, job creation, and common-sense governance has earned him a reputation for getting things done for the City of San Diego.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am extremely proud to have the endorsement of Mayor Faulconer,\u201d said June Cutter. \u201cHis leadership here in San Diego is a testament to the common-sense approach to governing that I will take with me to Sacramento.\u201d<\/p>\n

Faulconer\u2019s endorsement adds to the growing list of prominent elected leaders and organizations who have endorsed June Cutter for State Assembly. June has already been endorsed by the California Republican Party, the San Diego County Republican Party, the Associated General Contractors of San Diego, the Associated Builders and Contractors of San Diego, Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove, Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron, and many other elected officials and community leaders.<\/p>\n

The 77th<\/sup>\u00a0District encompasses northern San Diego and portions of North County, including the city of Poway. It also contains the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. The District\u2019s voter registration is nearly evenly split between Republicans, Democrats, and Independents.<\/p>\n
