On Sunday, Assemblywoman Tasha Boerner Horvath held an event to celebrate the opening of her 2020 campaign office. At the opening, the campaign team was met with a lackluster crowd consisting of about a dozen individuals.<\/p>\n

With her Democrat partner, Congressman Mike Levin, polling equal to Brian Maryott, local Democrats are showing their refusal to include the local constituents. Horvath has had a tough time getting donations from the local area with a mass influx of donations coming from unions outside of San Diego, and this showed by the lack of attendance at her event\u2014with only about a dozen people showing up.<\/p>\n

Even with the poor turnout, Horvath’s team made sure to check all those who had an RSVP on social media, and also turned away constituents. Horvath’s staffers, even with the low turn out, decided to kick out those whom they believed weren’t on the assemblywoman’s side politically. Horvath’s team showed their inability to represent everyone in the district by turning away constituents.<\/p>\n

Assemblywoman Horvath showed she wasn’t there to represent those in her district. She’s there to do her thing, and if people disagree, then she’ll ignore them or have her team kick them out. An assemblywoman is supposed to be the representative of the district, and Horvath has shown herself to be anything but that. Her union and corporate donations\u2014primarily from out of district\u2014punctuated by the lack of support at her campaign headquarters reveal just how out of touch she is with her constituents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
