SACRAMENTO – Today, Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher<\/strong> (Yuba City) issued the following statement on the Legislative Analyst\u2019s report<\/a> showing that Democrats\u2019 fiscal mismanagement has created a $68 billion budget deficit:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s no coincidence that California\u2019s budget deficit and <\/em>Gavin Newsom\u2019s disapproval numbers<\/em><\/a> hit an all-time high on the same day. Both are the result of a checked-out governor who\u2019s more interested in chasing the national spotlight than the business of running a state.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last five years, Newsom and legislative Democrats have <\/em>increased spending by by more than 60%<\/em><\/a>. It\u2019s flat-out unsustainable. <\/em><\/p>\n
